Required skills
- At least 5 years of experience as a JAVA developer in a comparable work environment, with a strong track-record
- Experience with AWS (CDK, Fargate, CloudWatch), PostgreSQL, Spring (Boot) and Bitbucket (Pipelines) is a must
- Experience with interfacing (REST / SOAP / JSON / XML / other), both on the client side and the server side
- Hands-on experience with continuous delivery / deployment
- Ambitious, strong drive to learn and adopt new technologies
What is our challenge
Our platform consists of a number of Amazon hosted services that we are currently modernising. We are moving from SOAP based webservices to REST API’s on all of our service components. Currently our main challenge is to develop the API’s that will service both our web based (newly developed Vue.js) and iOS app components. We will make this transition within our Amazon Service infrastructure, while continuing to service our clients based on the currently active SOAP based infrastructure. Your role within the team will be to (co-)develop new backend services and extend/maintain our cloud infrastructure. These will need to be tested, deployed and integrated with new and existing frontend components.
